The new specification includes two options for selection such as standard option while people who like better performances have the up-level option at disposal. In both cases, we talk about four-cylinder engines which promote efficiency, especially in fuel-saving. The standard engine is all-new turbo 1.4L Ecotec I-4 LE2. At this moment, we still don’t know information about performances, but they are coming very soon. Only known detail is the rate of fuel consumption which amounts 40 mpg on the motorway. All that people know about this engine is that it’s made of aluminum. Further, it has modern systems like STOP-START, variable-flow oil pump, piston-cooling jets and more. The standard engine is in integration with six-speed automatic 6TXX transmission. It sends power to all four wheels.

The second option is turbo 2.0L Ecotec I4 LTG engine. It is not necessary to mention that is an new version comes with DOHC technology and produces more horsepower and torque, unlike standard engine. It is in connection with eight-speed automatic 8TXX transmission.

Safety package in the 2018 GMC Terrain brings many standard features, but also new advanced systems. Some of them are active-safety crash-avoidance features and Side Blind Zone Alert.
